My dad has been uploading old photos on CD before they yellow to badly. He's been sending them over to me and I've been getting a kick out of the similarities I see in my children. Take a look.
We went on a fun filled trip to Sand Hollow in Hurricane/St. George with our good friends the Hales over New Years. We got our girls on ATV's for the first time. Amy and I drove around in a big ranger with Ava strapped in. It was a little chilly but nothing compared to the icy temperatures up north. We had a blast. Chad even had fun...hmmmmm. Poor Sophie got sick so it wasn't all fun and games but the boys golfed and Amy and I caught a show and a little shopping. Thanks for including us, friends!
We...okay, let's be honest...I, lost my camera on a trip in January. I was so frustrated because, like my little bro., Dean, I lose things frequently. I prefer to say misplaced because I often find them again months later, after I've replaced them; but that's not the point. My baby, Ava had her FIRST Christmas and I had no pictures of it! I was excited for this Christmas especially because her name "Ava Noel" means the Eve of Christ's Birth. But...my prayers were answered, thank you Chad, or should I say Clinton North Stake Aaronic Priesthood Camp requirements for a backpack? Long story...
I hear my name being screamed and run because Charlotte is in the tub! I run in and Ava has somehow gotten her top off and has dived into the tub with her diaper (a boom boom inside) and shorts on. She was as happy as a mermaid and you can see. Ugh...the day started off well. It became one of those days!
Our sweet, sometimes moody baby is a year and a half! She wants to be like her big sisters. She eats well at the dinner table with big forks and spoons even though she can hardly see over the table. She loves to play with her best friend, Tessa, our golden retriever. Tessa understands her totally and has unlimited patience with her. She speaks a lot in the language of Avish that can be translated by all of her sisters. We love her so much.
You all know that I've had my share of mishaps and "accidents". Well, my dad sent me this photo of me at age 5. Yes, that is a bandage around my head and a dot of blood starting to seep through. Here's the story. My brother Dean and I were playing Wonder Woman and Super Man and flying around the house. I hit my head on the corner of the counter. Back in the good old days the counters were not rounded like today. I probably needed stitches, but you know I heard the famous line..."you'll be fine!"
I love this lovley doggie. Tessa is the sweetest thing. She lets most any child pull and yank her continuously. She sits down to let Ava get on her back and ride her like a horse. Meanwhile she gives me these sappy brown eyes speaking to me "See what I do for your children?" Love you, Tessa!
This July, while Chad was ruffing it with a bunch of 16 and 17 year old boys for a week I went to spend some time with my cousin, Lisa. She has just had her fourth boy. Our families are opposites but we get along very well. All my girls with all their boys. Idaho was pretty and their new home was beautiful. Way to go, Lisa!
